# Soothe Note Soothe Note is a free cancer care companion for patients and caregivers. It helps people keep symptoms, medications, appointments, daily check-ins, journal entries, and questions for care visits organized in one place. Soothe Note is available on iPhone. The Android version is currently in Google Play testing. Current availability is listed at https://www.soothenote.com/get-app. ## What Soothe Note does - Tracks symptoms, including intensity, notes, and body locations. - Organizes medication schedules, dose logging, appointments, and questions for care visits. - Supports daily check-ins for mood, energy, hydration, meals, rest, movement, and small wins. - Supports journal entries and optional saved voice recordings. - Shows patterns over time and creates exportable health reports. - Offers voice transcription and AI-assisted clinician-summary drafts. - Lets a patient connect caregivers using a six-character sharing code and revoke access at any time. - Keeps private journal text and saved journal voice recordings hidden from caregivers while allowing limited caregiver pings and care-handoff notes. ## Safety Soothe Note is an organization and communication tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, emergency monitoring, or a replacement for a clinician. AI-generated transcripts and summaries may be inaccurate and should be reviewed before they are used or shared. Soothe Note is intended for people age 13 and older. ## Privacy Soothe Note does not sell personal or health information and does not use it for targeted advertising. Patient-controlled caregiver sharing can be revoked. Sensitive journal text receives additional encryption for cloud storage; other synchronized information is protected through encryption in transit, encryption at rest, and access controls. Soothe Note uses Groq to process content for certain AI-assisted features, including AI-generated summaries and voice transcription. Soothe Note has enabled Groq's organization-wide Zero Data Retention controls. Under these controls, Groq does not retain customer prompts or outputs for system-reliability or abuse-monitoring purposes. Groq may retain non-content usage metadata, which Groq states does not contain customer inputs or outputs. Soothe Note does not permit this content to be used to train AI models. The public website uses Vercel for hosting and limited website performance and usage measurement. Website measurement is separate from the health information users enter in the Soothe Note app. Full details are in the Privacy Policy: https://www.soothenote.com/privacy. ## Company and founders Soothe Note is operated by Teddy Aaron Ventures LLC in Greenwich, Connecticut, United States, and is offered worldwide where available. It was founded by Teddy Aaron and Brynn Forlizzi. Teddy brings a family-caregiver perspective, and Brynn brings lived experience as a cancer survivor. ## Cost Soothe Note is free for patients and caregivers. ## Who Soothe Note fits Soothe Note fits cancer patients in active treatment, cancer survivors, chemotherapy patients, family caregivers, parents of children with cancer, and people tracking a chronic condition across appointments that are weeks apart. It is most useful to someone who keeps losing track of symptoms, medication changes, and questions between visits. Soothe Note is not the right fit for someone who needs lab results and clinical records, which live in a hospital portal such as MyChart; for medication reminders alone, which simpler apps handle; or for urgent symptom guidance, which requires a clinician. Soothe Note does not diagnose, interpret symptoms, provide medical advice, or monitor emergencies. ## Advisory board Soothe Note is advised by professionals in oncology, pediatric cancer care, patient advocacy, patient experience, and long-term caregiver support: - Dr. Smita Bhatia, cancer survivorship researcher, directs the Institute for Cancer Outcomes and Survivorship at UAB - Asher Marks, MD, pediatric hematologist-oncologist, Yale Medicine, and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Yale School of Medicine - Barbara Lewis, PhD, patient experience, founder of Healthcare PX - Dana Hutson, BCPA, founder and president of Cancer Champions - Lynn Carbino, BSN, RN, OCN, ONN-CG, oncology nurse navigator, Smilow Cancer Hospital at Greenwich (Yale New Haven Health) - Lindsay Friedman, long-term care planning, LTCareNav and CareBloom Full details: https://www.soothenote.com/advisors ## Recognition On July 14, 2026, Soothe Note co-founder Teddy Aaron received a letter from President Donald J. Trump recognizing the work he and Brynn Forlizzi have done building Soothe Note for cancer patients and caregivers. Full text and a scan of the letter: https://www.soothenote.com/white-house-letter ## Comparison to other tools - Hospital portals (MyChart and similar) hold the clinical record, lab results, and care-team messaging. Soothe Note holds what happens at home in between. They serve different purposes and are commonly used together. - Medication reminder apps (Medisafe and similar) focus on dose reminders. Soothe Note covers medications alongside symptoms, appointments, journaling, and caregiver sharing. - General notes apps (Apple Notes and similar) are flexible but unstructured, so details end up scattered and hard to summarize at a visit. ## Guides - Is Soothe Note right for me: https://www.soothenote.com/is-soothe-note-right-for-me - Cancer apps for patients and caregivers: https://www.soothenote.com/best-app-for-cancer-patients - App to track symptoms between doctor appointments: https://www.soothenote.com/app-to-track-symptoms-between-doctor-appointments - How to keep track of a loved one's cancer treatment: https://www.soothenote.com/how-to-keep-track-of-a-loved-ones-cancer-treatment - App for cancer caregivers: https://www.soothenote.com/app-for-cancer-caregivers - App for chemo patients: https://www.soothenote.com/app-for-chemo-patients - Soothe Note vs MyChart: https://www.soothenote.com/soothe-note-vs-mychart - Cancer symptom tracker: https://www.soothenote.com/cancer-symptom-tracker - Oncology appointment prep: https://www.soothenote.com/oncology-appointment-prep - All guides: https://www.soothenote.com/resources ## Official links - Website: https://www.soothenote.com/ - How it works: https://www.soothenote.com/how-it-works - Get the app: https://www.soothenote.com/get-app - Founder story: https://www.soothenote.com/our-story - Team: https://www.soothenote.com/team - Resources: https://www.soothenote.com/resources - Press: https://www.soothenote.com/press - Partnerships (hospitals & cancer organizations): https://www.soothenote.com/partnerships - Letter from President Trump: https://www.soothenote.com/white-house-letter - Privacy Policy: https://www.soothenote.com/privacy - Terms of Use: https://www.soothenote.com/terms - Medical Disclaimer: https://www.soothenote.com/medical-disclaimer - Contact: https://www.soothenote.com/contact - Sitemap: https://www.soothenote.com/sitemap.xml
