Honest fit check

Is Soothe Note right for you?

Soothe Note is not the right tool for everyone, and it is not trying to be. This page lays out plainly what it does, who tends to get the most out of it, and where something else would serve you better.

What Soothe Note actually is

A free app for patients and caregivers to track symptoms, medications, appointments, daily check-ins, and questions, and to turn those into a summary for a care visit. It is an organization and memory tool, not a clinical one.

You will probably like it if

You are in active treatment or supporting someone who is, your appointments are weeks apart, you keep forgetting details in the exam room, or you are coordinating with a caregiver who wants to help without hovering.

You should probably skip it if

You want lab results and clinical records, which live in your hospital portal. You want medication reminders alone, which simpler apps handle. Or you already have a notebook system that works, in which case the honest answer is to keep using it.

What it costs

Soothe Note is free for patients and caregivers.

What happens to your information

Soothe Note does not sell personal or health information and does not use it for targeted advertising. Caregiver sharing is opt-in, read-only, and revocable by the patient. Journal entries and private notes receive additional encryption for cloud storage and are never shown to caregivers.

Quick answers

Common questions.

Is Soothe Note free?

Yes. Soothe Note is free for patients and caregivers.

Who is Soothe Note best for?

Cancer patients and their caregivers managing the stretch between appointments, particularly when symptoms, medication changes, and questions are easy to lose track of. It also supports broader chronic-condition tracking.

Does Soothe Note replace my hospital portal?

No. Portals like MyChart hold your clinical record, lab results, and messages with your care team. Soothe Note holds what happens at home between those visits. Most people who use both use them for different things.

Does Soothe Note sell my health data?

No. Soothe Note does not sell personal information or health information, and does not use it for targeted advertising, cross-app tracking, or data brokers.

Who made Soothe Note?

It was founded in Greenwich, Connecticut by Teddy Aaron and Brynn Forlizzi while they were in high school. Teddy came to it as a family caregiver; Brynn is a cancer survivor diagnosed during high school and leads patient experience.
